Raja Subodh Mullick Square is situated at the central place of central Kolkata or more specifically at the heart of our queen city KOLKATA. It is just opposite to Hind Cinema (Hind Fame). The historical importance of this ground is, it has two important houses of two great Legends on its both side one of Raja Subodh Mullick & the other one of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. Apart from this thing our puja ground is very much near to Metro Railway connectivity (Chandni Chowk Station). We are also in the puja guide maps of Kolkata Police & Metro Railway in each & every year, which dignifies our class & status as an important puja location.

We are organizing or conducting DURGA PUJA on this ground since 1972. Raja Subodh Mullick Square Sarbojanin Durgotsab Committee has been formed with the local people of this surrounding area. Sri SUDIP BANDYOPADHYAY (MP) is our Chairman; Sri SOMENDRA NATH MITRA (MP) is our Founder President & Sri. SAILEN AUDDY our president. Every year we conduct Durga Puja here by the help of these respected persons & with the committee members. We always hold the traditional elements of Durga Puja & its glory. Respected Governor of our state (whoever it is, during their time span) inaugurates our Durga Puja with other respected personalities, which has been our trend from many a past years. Inauguration is done in “Panchami” day of every year for Durga Puja. From that that day puja is conducted by the help of “Purohits” & committee members. We host the “Bhog” of Durga Maa in the “Nabomi” day at afternoon, as lunch. Durga “Protima” is generally immersed in the “Dadoshi” day which we term as “Bhasaan”. In our ground we also conduct an exhibition cum mela in the puja days, as our ground has enough space to hold these things. We incorporate and look into the matter carefully to keep in mind that the visitors have access to a lot of food stalls, refreshment stalls, game stalls, Meri-go-round & other enjoyable rides. Apart from the general Police duty allotment we also ensure that our ambience is covered with best quality private security management. Our committee has recently started hosting some events like “Disco Dandia”, “Puja Quiz”, and “Dhak-Dhunuchi-Sonkho”. This year we are going to host “Pujor Shera Sundor O Sundori”.

Raja Subodh Mullick Square Sarbojanin Durgotsab Committee is an association of members with a perfect blend of seniors & the upcoming young generation; which enables us to collaborate the experience of the seniors with the innovative & creative ideas of the youth. We hope that our effort & hard work would enhance to enlighten our puja with many a years to come.
